Epson fights back!

In the UK, counterfeit product valued at £95,000, imported from Canada has been seized by HM Customs and will be destroyed. In addition the reseller surrendered £35,000 of product and £15,000 was paid in way of compensation to Epson. Furthermore, counterfeit stock worth £135,000 supplied by Linex was the subject of a High Court restraining order.

This enquiry led to a further 10,200 counterfeit units worth over £150,000 being seized in Dubai just before Christmas. Epson has also taken action against companies in Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Hungary, Israel and South Africa for supplying pirated consumables.
