
April 2007 - ICCE and several of its members have just returned from Egypt after training various enforcement Authorities in Alexandria, Cairo and El Sokhna. The various Authorities included Customs, the Police Anti-Fraud Section of the Trade and Supply Department at the Ministry of Interior, Contact Point Organization, Prosecutor Generals Office, General Organization for Exports and imports Control Import-Export Monitoring Department and others.
March 2007 - The Imaging Consumables Coalition of Europe (ICCE), the anti-counterfeit coalition in the imaging consumables industry whose goal is to combat counterfeit imaging consumables in EMEA.
Counterfeit imaging products have captured a 7 per cent share in the USD 39.5 billion EMEA imaging consumables market however, the percentage of counterfeits in the Middle East region is much higher. As a consequence, The ICCE organized the first imaging supplies industry specific training of enforcement authorities in the UAE.
May 2006 The ICCE and World Customs Organization announced their partnership in combating counterfeit imaging supplies on May 10th.
Keynote speaker Arlene McCarthy provided a passionate case for the strengthening of Intellectual Property Rights and fully endorsed the partnership.
May 2006 ICCE and WCO have committed to a partnership that will disrupt the counterfeit supply of imaging consumables in the European Union and beyond. The time has come to attack this illicit trade of counterfeit ribbon, inkjet and laser printer cartridges further!
LONDON, February 2006 – ICCE members Canon and Lexmark claimed another victory against the counterfeiters, by raiding and seizing 1600 counterfeit cartridges with the help of the Police in Athens, Greece.
April 2005 The ICCE is the anti-counterfeit coalition for the imaging supplies industry and combats counterfeit inkjet, fax/printer/copier toner cartridges and ribbons.
To help work more closely with Customs authorities around the world the ICCE is currently designing a secure intranet website which will provide critical information to enable customs officials to decide whether or not to detain an incoming shipment.

August 2004 The ICCE and Brother took a crucial step forward by joining forces to combat counterfeit imaging supplies. Phil Scrase, Chairman of ICCE and Oki Vice-President of Consumables EMEA said “We are delighted that Brother has joined the ICCE. Brother, ICCE and its members will continue to pursue the counterfeiters in line with the ethos of zero tolerance of counterfeit imaging supplies.”
July 2004 As part of the overall strategy of positive action against counterfeit activity, ICCE co-ordinated the ‘voluntary surrender’ of counterfeit imaging supplies in the UK, and assisted in achieving two raids in Egypt.
Thousands of Euros worth of counterfeit imaging supplies were seized and destroyed in particular, Epson, HP, Canon and Lexmark products. Phil Scrase commented, “These ‘raids’ clearly show the wide geographical presence of counterfeit; in these cases stretching from the African Continent to Western Europe. In both cases, the counterfeit imaging supplies were sourced from China.” Read the case study
12 May 2004 Welcome to ' Consumables, Counterfeit and ICCE' — the Imaging Consumables Coalition of Europe, Middle East and Africa at work!. We are delighted to be able to share with you some of the dynamics of the consumables marketplace in the context of counterfeit. Counterfeit is a growing activity that attempts to undermine many parts of the supplies distribution channel and of course affects consumer confidence.
The articles have been designed to provide two key messages; firstly,an awareness of the nature and the extent of the counterfeit problem and secondly,an overview of the programmes and activities that the ICCE (Imaging Consumables Coalition of Europe,Middle East and Africa) and its membership are involved with,in pursuit of combating counterfeit consumables.
