Arlene attended Universities in London and Manchester, where she studied for a PhD in Government.

A prominent member of the European Parliament and previously a lecturer in European Security Policy at the Free University of Berlin and Senior European Affairs Advisor in Local Government.

Labour Party Spokesman on Legal Affairs (JURI) and Chair of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO), Arlene works closely with ministers and European advisors.
